Every summer, visitors lose their glasses in the ocean. If it happened to you, you're not alone.
Once we receive your current prescription, we can replace many prescriptions in about an hour, depending on lens availability and how busy we are. For same-day service, prescriptions must be received by 5:00 PM. If we need to order your lenses, orders placed by 3:00 PM have the best chance of arriving the next business day.
Our goal is simple: get you back on the beach with clear vision as quickly as possible.
What You'll Need
To help us replace your glasses as quickly as possible, we will need:
- Your current eyeglass prescription, if you have it. If not, your eye doctor can securely send it directly to us by email to or fax at (410) 390-3926.
- A photo of your prescription, if it's saved on your phone.
- Your current glasses, even if they're damaged.
Don't have a copy of your prescription? We offer comprehensive eye exams in our office most Mondays. If an appointment isn't available, we'll help you find a local eye doctor to perform the exam and send the prescription back over to us.
How Long Does It Take?
Many prescriptions can be completed the same day. The exact turnaround time depends on your prescription, the lenses you need, and current lens availability.
Single-vision prescriptions are often completed the fastest. Progressive lenses, specialty lenses, and high prescriptions usually require additional time.
Before we begin, we'll review your prescription and explain what to expect. If your glasses cannot be completed the same day, we'll give you the fastest available option and an estimated completion time.
